Advanced Member - Barbara Jenkin LRPSMy first camera was a Brownie 127, no settings or dials to worry about, just press the button. I really enjoyed taking pictures, mainly family and landscapes; I did buy the occasional photo magazine but understood very little. My photographic education began when I moved to Cornwall and met my husband who owned a Pentax, (lots of settings). Over the years I have owned a number of SLR cameras, one of my favourites being the NIKON F90X. For me the best breakthrough in camera design was the invention of Auto Focus. I now own a Fuji S5 SLR and love it. Subjects I really enjoy photographing are architecture and landscapes, however I like to enhance the image by experimenting with manipulation in the computer. Last year I gained an ‘A’ level in photography which was challenging. I am now trying my hand at entering international photographic salons. (with some success). Achievements:
