Advanced Member - Andy Davies MInstLM LRPS(CRCC Chairman)
I have now got back into photography from a 2 year break and now specialise in lifestyle portraiture, landscapes & nature digital photography. My interest in wildlife and nature started when I was 7 years old when my father joined me in the Young Ornithologists Club of Great Britain. I now support several societies/charities that support wildlife and nature, namely the Cornwall Wildlife Trust (CWT), Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). All of my photographs are true representations of what I see. My images are not digitally manipulated apart from the use of levels, curves, saturation and some dodging and burning, unless otherwise stated. I use Nikon DSLRs with various lenses, flashes and filters etc. In February 2010 I was honoured to be selected to judge the Charles Hosken Competition for the Cornwall Photographic Alliance (CPA) which highlights the excellent images of the cream of Cornish club photographers. I have recently achieved an 'A' grade in my A-Level Photography course which I have found immensley useful and inspiring and am also a member of the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM - Level 5). In January 2011 I was award the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) LRPS distinction and in December 2011 I was unanimously voted to become the Chairman of the Camborne & Redruth Camera Club. I also run photographic trips for the camera club taking members to such scenic places as Elan Valley (mid Wales), Snowdonia, Dartmoor and Exmoor etc. My ambition is to become a semi-professional photographer. I hope you enjoy the photos that follow. Achievements:
