Competition Rules
(As amended at the 2008 AGM)
1. Members are entitled to enter all competitions when they have paid their subscription and have been given a number by the competition secretary.
2. Members may submit up to six images in any competitions as defined on the programme unless otherwise stated with a maximum of 3 in any of the following sections:
- Projected Images
- Monochrome Prints
- Colour Prints
3a. 35 mm Slides. Must be spotted in the lower left corner as you look at them. You must also include a title and your membership number.
3b. Digital Images. Images should be sized at 1024px by 768px. If your image will not fit exactly, then use the longest side at 1024px and allow the rest to come into line.
4. Prints. Should be on a maximum mount of 40 x 50 and on the reverse should have the title and membership number. No other information should be shown.
5. All entries to be with the competition secretary one week before the competition unless otherwise requested.
6. Points earned for the League in each section are:
First = 5 pts.
Second = 3 pts.
Third = 2 pts.
Highly commended = 1 pt.

7B. Set subject (2008). (As chosen by the Western Counties Photographic Federation)
Will be “Bridges”.
8. Awards at the season end will be made for the sections below. In all Sections new members will not be competing initially against the senior members as Trophies are awarded for Intermediate and Advance workers
General
(points system apply for these)
4 open competitions.
1 set subject (as chosen by WCPF).
1 set subject as chosen at the AGM.
Field Trips all those who attend the field trips are eligible to enter this, Separate awards for this.
Memorial
A separate competition where work previously shown in other competitions may be submitted provided it has not been a winner and not shown in the Memorial or Print and Projected Image of the year in previous seasons (Separate awards for this).
Print and Slide of the Year
Normal entry rules apply. You may enter items that have been shown previously in the current season, or enter new work. (Separate award for this).
