Camborne & Redruth Camera Club (CRCC) Thursday 4th March and Saturday 6th March 2010 Last Thursday evening (04-03-10) the Camborne-Redruth Camera Club (C-RCC) met the Falmouth Camera Club (FCC) in an Inter-Club match at the Athenaeum Club, Falmouth. The event was extremely well supported by C-RCC, which Alan Cox (FCC Chairman) referred to when he introduced Chris Osborne (Penzance Camera Club), the judge for the evening. Chris Osborne said that he was finding it difficult to judge in this digital age because so much more can be done to the original image in post-processing - even so he felt that special effects should be used with extreme caution. He thought that the work submitted was of a high standard, particularly in the print section, though during his judgement he suggested subtle modifications to some of the images that would have improved them further. Chris qualified his marking by saying that it was only his opinion whereas another judge could have viewed the work differently. Each Club submitted fifteen prints and fifteen digital images for projection. Marking was out of 15 points per image. The Print Class was dominated by C-RCC which was 27 points clear at the interval, but in the Projected Images Class FCC closed the gap, with C–RCC running out overall winners by 21 points. Results:-
