CRCC Club News - 29th January 2012

The Club met last Thursday evening (26-01-12) at the Treleigh Church Hall for its first competition of the New Year. The subjects were Open Colour and Creative. Thelma Hope (Truro CC) was the judge.

In her opening remarks she congratulated the Club on the overall high standard of work presented for her to judge in both the Intermediate and Advanced groups. However during her commentary she found some images could have been further improved by some judicious cropping and in one or two cases sharpness was lacking. In the Creative section Thelma found several pictures she would have liked to have taken away to be displayed on her lounge wall.

The Club’s Chairman Andy Davies LRPS thanked Thelma for stepping in at such short notice to judge. He appreciated her constructive comments which have given the members plenty to think about.

The Club opened its Annual Exhibition on Monday last (30-01-12) at the Cornwall Studies Centre, Alma Place, Redruth. Viewing hours:-Weekdays 10 am to 5 pm. Saturdays 10 am to 1 pm, Closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. The exhibition closes on Saturday 11 February at 1 pm.

The Club meets tonight (02-02-12) at Treleigh at 7.30 pm when members will have the chance to pre-judge the Mersea Island Trophy Challenge entries.
