Last Thursday (13-11-08) at the Treleigh Church Hall, Redruth the Camborne-Redruth Camera Club (C-RCC) welcomed the St Austell Camera Club to a Critique evening.

There was a good ambience in the Hall as the Clubs commented on one another’s Prints and Projected images. Both Clubs were happy to exchange technical information about cameras and lenses used and to explain how manipulations were achieved as there were several images on show that involved multi-layering which was not apparent until the method was explained.

Reg Poad (C-RCC Chairman) thanked the St Austell Club for bringing an interesting selection of work for discussion. He also thanked the ladies of the host Club for organising the refreshments.

Roy Hoar (St Austell CC Chairman) also commented on the good work that was on display and thanked C-RCC for their generous hospitality.

At the recent Cornwall Wild Life Trust’s Photo-Group’s Annual Competition there was success for C-RCC members. Peter Keverne won the Projected Images Flora Class, with Reg Poad in second place and Mary Poad Highly Commended. In the Composition and Form Projected Images Class, Delia Trathen was in third place and in the Flora Print Class she was awarded Second position.

Tonight (20-11-08) again at Treleigh, starting at 07.30 pm there will be a Practical evening with demonstrations and tuition. Members are reminded to bring their cameras and tripods.
